Software Engineer III, AI Agents

Google Cloud delivers enterprise-grade solutions using Google's cutting-edge technology to help organizations digitally transform. This role is within a team focused on developing the Agent Development Kit, a comprehensive, multi-language, open-source framework empowering the global developer community in Generative AI.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• 2 years of full stack development experience including back-end (Java, Python, Golang, C++) and front-end (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Experience with distributed computing.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects or managing developer communities.
• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies or agentic frameworks.

• Expand the core capabilities, performance, and developer experience of Go, Java, and Kotlin Agent Development Kits.
• Drive widespread Agent Development Kit adoption through integration across key AI platforms.
• Design and deploy tooling, libraries, and frameworks for AI agent lifecycle optimization, including testing, debugging, deployment, and observability.
• Collaborate with developers to translate their needs into new features and improvements.
• Triage product or system issues and analyze impacts on hardware, network, or service operations.
