QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript)

The customer is a technology-driven software quality services provider that helps organizations improve the reliability, usability, and performance of their digital products. The company delivers quality engineering expertise and technology-enabled services supporting web, mobile, and other digital solutions across multiple industries to accelerate software delivery and enhance product quality and end-user experience.

• Experience in test automation with strong proficiency in TypeScript for 3+ years.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end and API test automation.
• Hands-on experience with API and contract testing based on OpenAPI specifications.
• Experience authoring OpenAPI specifications from scratch.
• Experience with mocking frameworks such as nock or equivalent, and testing against real third-party sandbox environments.
• Experience implementing CI quality gates using GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience testing AWS serverless applications, including Lambda, DynamoDB Streams, and SQS.
• Level of English from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice to have:

• Experience with both Mocha and Jest testing frameworks.
• Experience migrating Apiary specifications to OpenAPI.
• Experience with TestRail.
• Experience testing concurrency, race conditions, and system throughput.
• Experience working in shared staging environments with limited resources and deployment constraints.

• Build end-to-end tests for the full integration lifecycle, including triggers, data streams, mapping, and synchronization.
• Develop automated tests for real third-party sandbox and staging integrations.
• Cover concurrent integrations, race conditions, throughput benchmarks, and expand test coverage across services.
• Standardize the API testing framework, including authentication, environment configuration, schema validation, and unified reporting.
• Migrate legacy Apiary specifications to OpenAPI 3.1 and create API specifications for uncovered services.
• Develop API conformance tests covering schema validation, positive and negative scenarios, error handling, and authorization.
• Implement backward compatibility checks and integrate API contract validation into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Roll out the testing framework across services and support continuous improvements to API quality.
