Software Engineer III, Laptops and Tablets Infrastructure

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies impacting billions of users globally. The Platforms and Devices team works on computing software platforms across desktop, mobile, and applications as well as first-party devices combining Google AI, software, and hardware, building innovative user experiences worldwide.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• 2 years of software development experience using Java, Go, or Python, or 1 year of industry experience with an advanced degree.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Experience with databases such as Postgres and MySQL.
• Experience with software design and architecture.

• Develop full stack web applications, backend systems, pipelines, or tools across varied codebases.
• Focus on the team mission and flexibly go where needed to make an impact for internal users and external partners.
• Develop ways to apply AI to increase team velocity, make systems work more intelligently, and solve infrastructure-related problems.
• Work on integration testing, process automation, monitoring, and bug fixing.
• Collaborate across teams as necessary.
