Senior IT Product Owner

AVENGA is a company offering positions for Senior IT Product Owner roles focused on managing complex Data Products across international, cross-cultural, and multi-timezone environments.

• At least 5 years of experience as an IT Product Owner.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
• Proven experience leading and launching at least 3 distinct Data Products.
• Experience managing products in international, cross-cultural, multi-timezone environments.
• Practical understanding of data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and infrastructure concepts, including SQL and Snowflake.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end data flow including ingestion, backend processing, transformation, and frontend serving.
• Ability to translate high-level business vision into detailed User Stories with data mapping and Acceptance Criteria.
• Experience working closely with Backend and Frontend developers to architect data flows and dashboards.
• Mindset for incremental data delivery (MVPs).
• Mastery of prioritization frameworks like WSJF, MoSCoW, and Opportunity Scoring.
• Proven Scrum experience and participation in refinement processes.
• Experience in scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe and participation in PI Planning.
• Advanced proficiency with Jira for backlog management and agile metrics.
• Strong conflict resolution and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Exceptional relationship building with global stakeholders.
• Proactive ownership with accountability to unblock development teams.
• Understanding of project management principles including risk mitigation and dependency tracking.

Nice to have:

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification.

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Data Products, from discovery to delivery and continuous improvement.
• Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into Epics, User Stories, and clear Acceptance Criteria.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog aligned with business goals and product strategy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Drive incremental delivery of Data Products and support roadmap planning.
• Resolve conflicting priorities, manage risks and dependencies, and make data-driven product decisions.
• Act as primary point of contact for the product, ensuring effective communication between business and technical teams.
• Support Agile delivery using Jira and participate in PI Planning within a scaled Agile environment.
