Data/BI Engineer

At Avenga, a global company with over 6000 specialists, providing services including business and technology advisory, enterprise solutions, CX, UX and UI design, managed services, product development, and software development.

• Strong experience with AWS, specifically Glue, Redshift, and related services
• Hands-on experience with Redshift, including schema design, query performance, and data modeling for analytics
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Proven experience developing, testing, and debugging production code

Nice to have:

• Experience with Apache Iceberg
• Experience with MicroStrategy

• Act as prime point of contact for team in design and technical decisions
• Assist the product owner on solution, impact, and other technical aspects
• Develop and maintain data products end-to-end, prioritizing business value and code efficiency
• Own, develop, and deploy data pipelines and data models for reporting tools and data marts
• Collaborate with platform team on security and platform optimizations related to data products
• Build and automate data quality checks for monitoring and validation
• Debug incidents and perform root cause analysis with communication of solutions to stakeholders
• Use CI/CD tools like GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Optimize pipelines utilizing AWS services such as CloudWatch, AWS Glue, Lambda, DMS, AppFlow, CloudTrail
• Challenge existing working practices and propose and test best practices
