Data Governance Specialist (Specjalista/Specjalistka ds. Zarządzania Danymi)

Diagnostyka S.A. operates the largest medical laboratory network in Poland. They have built a modern data platform using GCP and BigQuery technology and are now developing mature business processes around it.

• Experience in Data Governance/Data Management or as a senior Data Analyst moving towards strategic roles.
• Process-oriented mindset beyond tool usage; focus on data flow design and responsible parties rather than only ERP/SAP systems.
• Soft skills and transformational mindset for explaining technical concepts to business and organizing chaos.
• Excellent knowledge of data structures and experience working with data as analyst, database designer, or data steward.
• Practical orientation in data management processes (ownership, data catalog, data lineage, metadata management, master data management).
• Knowledge of market standards like DAMA-DMBOK and legal-medical regulations including GDPR and quality norms.

Building processes from scratch:

• Design and implement Data Governance frameworks including Data Ownership structures within business organizations together with the CDO.

Data Catalog implementation:

• Select, implement, and develop tools to catalog data and metadata to facilitate business use of the platform.

Data Quality Framework architecture:

• Create monitoring systems, KPIs, and corrective processes to empower data owners to manage data quality.

Change management and evangelization:

• Support, train, and motivate business Data Owners and Data Stewards on caring for their data areas.

Bridge between Business and IT:

• Ensure business and technical projects (from ERP to the data platform) use consistent terminology.

Leadership:

• Coordinate collaboration between analytical and business teams supporting Data Management.
