Senior Backend Developer – Java and Node.js Platforms

This role is for a leading international bank focusing on designing and maintaining internal tooling for their Future State Architecture across CTO Platforms.

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering with expertise in Node.js and/or Java.
• Proficiency with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL (data modeling and query optimization).
• Experience with web UI development using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Knowledge of agentic application engineering and orchestration of autonomous AI agents.
• Experience with integration patterns such as MCP, API design, and tool/function calling.
• Production engineering mindset emphasizing security, resilience, performance, and observability.
• Skills in solution design for internal platforms and tooling.
• Excellent English communication skills and experience collaborating with international stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Certifications or experience in automation, DevOps, or related fields.
• Familiarity with cloud services or enterprise architecture frameworks.

• Design, develop, and maintain internal tooling supporting Future State Architecture with focus on security, resilience, and usability.
• Build backend services and APIs using Node.js and/or Java integrating with PostgreSQL and other enterprise data sources.
• Develop web UI components using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Apply agentic engineering practices to orchestrate autonomous AI agents for software building, testing, and deployment.
• Implement secure and efficient integration patterns such as MCP, API design, and tool/function calling.
• Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, and stakeholders to translate architectural needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions meet engineering standards including testing, performance, security, and operational readiness.
• Support continuous improvement via automation, code reviews, and operational live system support.
