Staff Software Engineer in Test (m/f/n)

Must-have:

• Strong experience automating mobile app tests natively with real working-level Swift and/or Kotlin.
• Proven track record designing test strategy and the test pyramid.
• Experience with shift-left testing approach impacting development outcomes.
• Experience leading technical and process changes, working closely with development teams.
• Experience introducing mock-based testing with standards and education.
• Demonstrable impact beyond a single team through cross-team quality initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with AI including usage and risk assessment.
• Fluent in English and Polish.

Nice to have:

• Experience with BrowserStack and CI/CD (GitLab).
• Snapshot testing experience (e.g., swift-snapshot-testing, Paparazzi).
• Familiarity with Appium.
• Experience applying AI in testing workflows.
• Experience in logistics or e-commerce domains.
• ISTQB Advanced Level - Test Automation Engineer certification.

I. Test strategy & native automation:

• Design and own the test strategy for native iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin) apps.
• Set strategy for device and OS-version fragmentation coverage and control flakiness at scale using BrowserStack with GitLab CI.
• Maintain robustness of backend/API/contract layer and integrate with mobile clients.
• Own quality gates within app release and store-deployment pipelines and resolve cross-team quality issues within the domain.

II. Coaching, culture & technical leadership:

• Pair on testability and shift quality ownership left into the development workflow.
• Mentor Senior Software Engineers in Test and provide technical guidance across the domain.
• Conduct knowledge sharing across QA and Dev: tech talks, workshops, documentation, and pair sessions; co-lead the OneTech/QA community.
• Co-shape domain technical quality direction with the SEM and analyze quality trends from reports and metrics.
• Define quality metrics and gates and communicate quality risk in business terms to EMs, SEMs, and PMs.

III. AI Governance in testing:

• Define AI adoption approach for quality engineering including tools and workflows.
• Design AI-assisted testing workflows and establish governance and data-security standards.
• Assess and manage risks associated with AI usage in testing, including production-facing tasks.
• Mentor engineers on responsible and effective AI use and report on AI ROI for quality engineering.
