Staff Software Engineer in Test (m/f/n)

InPost is a leading European out-of-home (OOH) e-commerce enablement platform founded in 1999. • Strong experience automating mobile app tests natively on iOS or Android with hands-on Swift and/or Kotlin skills.
• Proven track record designing test strategies and test pyramids.
• Demonstrated shift-left experience impacting outcomes before coding.
• Experience leading technical and process changes with development teams.
• Experience introducing mock-based testing standards.
• Proven impact beyond a single team, leading multi-team quality initiatives.
• Hands-on experience and critical relationship with AI assessing both benefits and risks.
• Fluent in English and Polish.

Nice to have:

• Experience with BrowserStack and CI/CD (GitLab).
• Experience in Snapshot Testing (e.g., swift-snapshot-testing, Paparazzi).
• Familiarity with Appium.
• Experience applying AI in testing workflows.
• Experience in logistics or e-commerce industry.
• ISTQB Advanced Level - Test Automation Engineer certification.

I. Test strategy & native automation:

• Design and own the test strategy across mobile teams for native iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin) apps.
• Set strategy for device and OS-version fragmentation coverage.
• Drive flakiness control at scale using BrowserStack and GitLab CI.
• Maintain strong backend/API/contract layer connection to mobile client.
• Own quality gates inside app release and deployment pipelines.

II. Coaching, culture & technical leadership:

• Pair on testability and shift quality ownership left into the development workflow.
• Mentor Senior Software Engineers in Test.
• Run knowledge-sharing activities across QA and development teams, including tech talks and workshops.
• Co-lead the OneTech/QA community.
• Define quality metrics and gates and communicate quality risks in business terms.

III. AI Governance in testing:

• Define AI adoption approaches and governance standards for quality engineering.
• Design AI-assisted testing workflows.
• Assess and manage AI risks in testing.
• Mentor engineers on responsible and effective AI use.
• Report on AI ROI for quality engineering.
