Python Developer with React (f/m/x)

Sii is recruiting a Senior Python Developer for SPAM, a web-based platform utilizing high-performance computing clusters for antibody sequence analysis. The project involves collaboration with local and offshore engineering teams to develop sustainable and reusable scientific software solutions.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing data analysis tools
• Strong expertise in Python with practical experience in Django and Celery
• Proven frontend development skills with React.js and TypeScript
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs
• Familiarity with source code management using GitHub
• Solid understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL, particularly Postgres and MongoDB
• Strong focus on testing practices, experience with pytest
• Fluent English (C2)

• Develop tools for data analysis focusing on sustainability and reusability
• Collaborate with agile teams to address scientific software engineering challenges
• Build and maintain frontend applications using React.js and TypeScript
• Implement backend services with Python, Django, and Celery
• Design and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs
• Manage source code with GitHub following best software engineering practices
• Perform testing using pytest and optionally end-to-end testing with Playwright
• Utilize relational (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases for data storage and retrieval
