Data Modeller

This position is for a Data Modeller role at a client in the financial services sector, specifically one of the world’s largest banks, involving stable, long-term projects.

• Strong experience in data modelling for analytical and operational systems.
• Knowledge of data modelling methodologies including Data Vault 2.0, Star Schema, and 3NF.
• Experience with data profiling, metadata management, and source-to-target mapping.
• Ability to analyse complex data structures including relational databases and semi-structured data (JSON, XML).
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with technical and business stakeholders.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Python knowledge.
• Exposure to big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop.
• Experience in financial services or enterprise data modelling frameworks.

• Design conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data modelling solutions.
• Define source-to-target mappings and data transformation logic.
• Establish data quality rules and data integrity checks.
• Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to data design standards, governance and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement of data modelling processes.
