Senior Engineering Manager - Shipping Services (m/f/n)

The role involves leading the Shipping Services teams within the Supply Chain Management domain responsible for the end-to-end parcel shipment lifecycle and related integrations.

• 10+ years of experience in Software Development or Engineering Leadership.
• Proven experience managing Engineering Managers in a manager-of-managers role, leading at least two teams through managers.
• Hands-on software engineering background, preferably in earlier career stages.
• Experience managing domain-level delivery, SDLC standards, and technical architecture.
• Hands-on technical background in Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid exposure to backend databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud, with AWS or Azure also valued.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture patterns like microservices, event-driven, and API-first.
• Experience with OKR/KPI frameworks and domain-level metrics.
• Demonstrated impact of AI adoption on engineering velocity and product quality.
• Proficiency in Agile, SAFe, or equivalent scaled delivery frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in both Polish and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to communicate technical strategy to executive stakeholders.
• Expertise in people development, career paths, performance management, and succession planning.
• Strong understanding of AI adoption frameworks, AI governance, and data security.
• Proven track record of building high-performing, inclusive engineering cultures.
• Strategic thinking, conflict resolution, executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Employer branding and talent acquisition experience at the domain level.

• Manage delivery across multiple engineering teams or an entire domain, defining delivery standards and ensuring consistency, quality, and velocity across teams.
• Report to C-level stakeholders on progress, risks, and business impact, translating engineering outcomes into business language and strategic recommendations.
• Own domain-level SDLC governance, aligning standards across teams and eliminating systemic organizational blockers.
• Define architecture and technical standards for the domain, collaborating with Staff Software Engineers.
• Own platform and infrastructure strategy for the domain, driving technical consistency and reducing technical debt.
• Define the domain's AI adoption strategy and represent the domain in AI governance committees.
• Coach and develop Engineering Managers, build a talent pipeline, and design career paths and development programs.
• Build a high-performance, inclusive engineering culture and escalate personnel issues to HR and senior leadership.
• Shape recruitment and process standards, manage organizational structure including team sizing and roles.
• Communicate strategy and progress to C-level and manage cross-domain dependencies.
• Build a feedback and learning culture through systematic mechanisms and translate feedback into action plans.
• Sponsor and lead cross-team and cross-domain initiatives and participate in communities of practice.
• Shape innovation direction for the domain and contribute to Group-level technology strategy.
