Senior GCP AI Engineer – Cloud AI Solutions

Our client is a leading financial institution focused on building scalable, secure, and efficient backend services within a cutting-edge AI team. This role is part of a newly formed team shaping the future of banking technology through modern tooling and international collaboration.

• At least 7 years of professional experience in production application development with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, or C# and experience in Web API development.
• Hands-on experience with React for building dynamic, high-performance web applications.
• Strong SQL skills including database design, scripting, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Solid working knowledge of GCP services such as Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and IAM, with ability to deploy and operate production workloads.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform, and native GCP DevOps tools like Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Practical experience with CI/CD practices including automated testing pipelines.
• Familiarity with full SDLC processes from requirements to maintenance.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Gemini Code Assist.
• Broader DevOps or automation experience beyond baseline.
• Deeper front-end knowledge beyond basic implementations.

• Implement scalable backend solutions using best design patterns on GCP, ensuring robust and efficient infrastructure.
• Analyze requirements to recommend and implement system stability and user experience improvements.
• Lead UI modifications and optimizations to improve application performance and user experience.
• Drive DevOps automation initiatives, improving CI/CD lifecycles with Terraform, Cloud Build, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Manage changes through the Service Management lifecycle to support continuous delivery and deployment.
• Participate in software architecture design and create prototypes for concept validation.
• Provide exceptional customer support by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones to ensure seamless delivery.

Candidates must have legal right to work in the European Union. The role requires fluency in English and Polish. Location is Krakow with a hybrid work model allowing up to 3 remote days per week.
