Systems Engineer

The client is a global aviation software provider delivering digital solutions that support flight operations across commercial, business, military and general aviation sectors. The company combines aeronautical data expertise with modern flight-planning technology to create integrated platforms used worldwide by pilots, airlines, fleet operators and aviation organizations. In 2025 it became an independent company focused on software innovation and aviation technology development. The company develops a suite of aviation software tools supporting flight crews and operational teams, aiming to advance digital aviation by improving safety, efficiency, and decision-making in flight operations.

• 5+ years of experience in aircraft or aerospace network architecture, avionics, or complex embedded networking systems
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant experience with product development life cycle (e.g., V-model application on ARP-4754), requirements management and design review
• Relevant experience with environmental qualification process
• Relevant experience with Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), System Safety Assessment (SSA), and ARP4761 Safety Assessment
• Relevant experience with product certification process

• Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
• Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications
• Design hardware, software, and interface specifications
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and certification requirements, including ARP4754A, DO-178, and DO-254
• Test and validate system designs to ensure they meet operational and functional requirements
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
• Troubleshoot and provide support for fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle
• Create and peer-review Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA), Fault Tree Analyses (FTA), Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA), and System Safety Assessment (SSA) documents
• Travel internationally on occasion
