Software Engineer III, Google Cloud Networking

Google Cloud delivers enterprise-grade solutions that help organizations digitally transform their business and industry worldwide. The role involves working on technologies that impact billions of users and spans multiple areas including distributed computing, networking, security, AI, and more.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
• Preferred: Domain knowledge in Public Key Infrastructure, X.509, SSL/TLS, and mTLS.
• Preferred: General knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/UDP, TLS/SSL.
• Preferred: Coding skills in modern programming languages such as Golang, Java, C++.

• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback ensuring best practices.
• Contribute to and update documentation or educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
• Triage and debug product or system issues affecting hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Build new solutions to facilitate zero-configuration deployment of Mutual Transport Layer Security (mTLS) for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customers.
