Technical Program Manager, Compliance and Security Enablement

Google is focused on building products to create opportunities globally, including the Chrome browser available across major platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS. Chrome is an open source project aimed at innovations in speed, simplicity, and security.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in program management.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle.
• Preferred: 5 years working directly with software engineering teams as a technical program manager.
• Experience managing cross-functional technical dependencies in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Ability to identify and mitigate architectural risks and drive trade-off decisions.
• Proficiency in planning, execution, and communications management tailored to different audiences.
• Skill in translating ambiguous business goals into concrete technical requirements and system definitions.

• Manage full lifecycle of complex, multi-team roadmaps with cross-functional dependencies, organizing project details and adjusting program levers to deliver results on time.
• Collect data to govern programs, author trackers, deliver status reports, and establish mitigation and escalation processes.
• Lead program meetings, manage dependencies, influence cross-functional engineering teams and leadership toward a unified technical vision.
• Design and deliver tailored program communication plans for various stakeholders ensuring transparency.
• Triage technical issues across teams, assess escalations, and resolve tooling/process gaps affecting engineering execution.
