Lead UX Designer

We are hiring a Lead UX Designer for an enterprise AI company building a platform that lets AI agents work reliably inside complex business environments.

• 7+ years in a product design role with a portfolio demonstrating work on complex screens including edge cases
• Ability to explain design effectiveness across layout, type, interaction, density, and motion
• Strong product instinct to identify broken flows, lazy defaults, and clutter, aligning design with user and business needs
• Background in dense, data-rich, or enterprise tools beyond consumer apps or marketing pages
• Proven ability to simplify hard, technical products through effective onboarding and progressive complexity
• Experience in creating or growing a real design system with a structural mindset focusing on consistency and information architecture at scale
• Evidence-led design practice based on real user behavior observation
• Team-first, delivery-focused working style with close collaboration with engineers and PMs
• Design process integrated with AI tools daily
• Plain and clear spoken and written communication skills

Nice to have:

• Prior work on AI or agentic products such as copilots, chat, retrieval with cited sources, or knowledge graphs
• Ability to build working prototypes using code or prototyping and AI tools
• Experience steering design direction and coaching peers without direct reports
• Knowledge of enterprise and B2B SaaS constraints including access controls, audit trails, scale, and operational workflows

• Own the design craft bar for the core product, ensuring visual quality, interaction quality, and product consistency
• Design trustworthy interfaces for complex AI and agentic systems, including streaming responses, uncertainty, confidence and sources, agent actions, error and recovery, and human-in-the-loop control
• Turn ambiguous product problems into clear flows, prototypes, and shipped experiences
• Make complex, technical capabilities accessible to non-technical business users through onboarding and gradual reveal of complexity
• Apply engagement and light gamification deliberately to keep the product approachable and rewarding
• Build and extend the design system for product coherence and faster shipping
• Ground design decisions in real user understanding through research, usability testing, and direct customer contact
• Partner closely with product and engineering teams from problem framing through production
• Mentor other designers and raise the craft bar through critique and example
• Drive an AI-native design workflow using AI tools across exploration, prototyping, content, and research synthesis while maintaining high verification standards
