Senior Software Engineer, AI/ML, GenAI

Google is a technology company developing next-generation technologies including artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and large-scale system design. The role is part of a small, dynamic team focused on generative AI for device automation across phones, laptops, and tablets, integrated with ChromeOS.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science with AI/ML emphasis, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure including model deployment, evaluation, debugging, and fine tuning.
• 2 years of experience with generative AI techniques such as LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models, or related concepts like language modeling and computer vision.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of software product testing and launching, and 3 years of software design and architecture experience.
• Experience with agentic systems, reinforcement learning, image analysis, or advanced statistics.
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals.
• Ability to establish and track meaningful metrics for ML system performance and reliability.
• Passion for coaching and mentoring team members.

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable machine learning systems for device automation and app analysis platforms.
• Enhance AI-powered agents for improved understanding and execution across various devices.
• Define, establish, and track KPIs and metrics for performance, quality, and reliability of ML systems.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor team members on machine learning best practices.
