Data Engineer

• 4-5 years of commercial experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python with solid understanding of code functionality.
• Experience with Snowflake and dbt (or similar tools like BigQuery, Databricks, Postgres).
• Practical knowledge of data warehousing and modeling best practices.
• Excellent English (written and spoken) for daily collaboration with a US-based team.
• High sense of ownership, quick learning ability, and independent thinking.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Palantir Foundry.
• Background in processing unstructured data (PDF parsing, OCR).

• Building pipelines to ingest unstructured data (e.g., complex PDFs) and structured data into Snowflake.
• Designing and implementing high-quality data models using dbt, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Integrating Snowflake data with Palantir Foundry to support operational analytics.
• Using and providing feedback on custom-built AI tools to refine coding assistants.
• Proactively identifying bottlenecks and pushing back on suboptimal data modeling decisions.
