Senior Engineering Manager (m/f/n) – Payments & Checkout

InPost Group (Euronext: INPST) is Europe's leading out-of-home e-commerce delivery platform, operating over 50,000 automated parcel machines (APMs) and PUDO points across Poland, the UK, France, Italy, and Benelux - processing tens of millions of transactions annually. InPost Pay is their integrated checkout and payments product embedded directly into the merchant journey, with ambitions extending into digital wallets, embedded finance, and AI-assisted commerce, representing fintech at logistics scale.

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership.
• Experience managing Engineering Managers and multi-team engineering organizations.
• Strong technical foundation as a Software Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Excellent understanding of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, and modern backend engineering practices.
• Experience with cloud environments, with Google Cloud as a strong advantage.
• Experience defining technical standards, SDLC processes, governance models, and engineering operating frameworks.
• Ability to translate engineering strategy into measurable business outcomes and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Hands-on technical background in the Java ecosystem (Spring Boot) or equivalent enterprise microservices stack (e.g., .NET/C#).
• Experience in production environments and large-scale product organizations.
• Proven success in building and scaling engineering organizations through leaders.
• Experience implementing or scaling AI-enabled engineering practices and tools.
• Strong understanding of engineering metrics, KPIs, OKRs, and organizational performance management.
• Ability to use data and measurable outcomes to drive technology and organizational decisions.

• Experience in fintech, digital payments, checkout platforms, or embedded finance products.
• Experience in payment processing, commerce, digital wallets, or transaction-heavy platforms.
• Background in successful technology scale-ups with rapid growth.
• Experience in regulated crypto fintech under financial supervision frameworks (e.g., MiCA, FCA).
• Demonstrated impact of AI adoption on engineering velocity, developer experience, or software quality.
• Experience building management dashboards and using data analytics for strategic decisions.

• Drive growth and scalability of technology teams supporting payment, checkout, and sales-related products.
• Lead an engineering organization of approximately 24–25 engineers across 3 teams, including teams led by Engineering Managers and directly managed teams.
• Develop Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and senior engineering talent, building a strong leadership pipeline.
• Establish and maintain technical, architectural, and delivery standards across the domain.
• Shape technology strategy collaboratively with Product, Business, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Manage dependencies across teams ensuring high-quality delivery at scale.
• Identify and remove organizational and technical bottlenecks impacting product development and business outcomes.
• Define and drive the domain's AI adoption strategy, promoting responsible AI experimentation and innovation.
• Lead data-driven decision-making by defining, monitoring, and improving KPIs, OKRs, SLAs, and engineering performance metrics.
• Use engineering insights to continuously improve delivery effectiveness, platform reliability, team productivity, and customer outcomes.
• Represent the engineering organization in strategic initiatives and cross-functional leadership discussions.
