Principal Software Engineer

Employer: international sport betting company.

• 6+ years of software engineering experience (backend or fullstack)
• Golang coding experience or experience in more than one popular backend language
• Experience with architecture of large-scale distributed systems
• Proven experience building high-traffic platforms
• Strong understanding of asynchronous communication and Microservices
• Strong understanding of Cloud-native architectures and operational excellence
• Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to use/learn Golang, MongoDB, NATS / NSQ / Kafka, AWS
• Fluent in English and Polish

• Act as a senior individual contributor within the technology organization and serve as a technical leader across multiple engineering domains
• Design and engineer new technical solutions and features
• Actively solve production issues and incidents
• Lead other engineers to independence regarding technical solutions
• Drive modernization of systems
• Ensure high-quality data integration
• Ensure high quality in delivery of new features and technical solutions
• Ensure zero downtime releases and support after production release
• Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
• Liaise with other key engineers, product managers, business partners, and stakeholders
