Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer – API and Web Testing

This role is for a client in the fintech industry, focusing on SmartKYC integration and extending DIFC flows to multiple markets.

• 3+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer or similar role.
• Expertise with test automation frameworks using Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman or code-based libraries.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps culture.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have:

• Certifications or experience in automation testing, API testing, or DevOps practices.

• Design, implement, and maintain test plans, cases, and scenarios aligned with user stories and specifications.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated functional, regression, and API test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, and RestAssured.
• Perform manual, exploratory, and usability testing to identify defects and user experience issues.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using Jira and collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies advocating for quality and testability.
