SRE Production Engineer

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar SRE role.
• Knowledge of SRE practices and logging mechanisms.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience implementing best practices for delivering high-quality code.
• Experience with automation and automation tools.
• Ability to script in PowerShell, Java, Python, or equivalent.
• Ability to monitor and report on application uptime, performance, and other metrics.
• Experience migrating from on-prem to cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Fabric/OpenShift; experience with GCP is desirable.
• Experience with monitoring solutions (e.g., Geneos, Netcool) and observability solutions (e.g., New Relic) is desirable.
• Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., ControlM).

• Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to maintain and improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency of production systems.
• Design, implement, and manage monitoring and observability solutions to track application uptime, performance, and other critical metrics.
• Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Java, Python, or other equivalent languages to automate operational tasks, deployments, and system configurations.
• Automate processes using tools such as Ansible.
• Support and participate in the migration of on-premise applications and infrastructure to cloud platforms.
• Configure and maintain existing monitoring solutions like Geneos, Netcool, and observability solutions such as New Relic.
• Use orchestration tools such as ControlM to manage workflows and job schedules.
• Contribute to release and change management processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application design and operational readiness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues promptly.
• Document operational procedures, runbooks, and system configurations.
