Senior Infrastructure Engineer

The role is within a company building a proprietary, near-deterministic AI-powered development platform that operates at the frontier of technology alongside leading AI labs.

Experience:

• 8+ years of software engineering.
• 3+ years in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering.
• 3+ years building responsive React applications.
• 3+ years maintaining and optimizing enterprise-grade CI/CD automation pipelines.
• Proven experience shipping and operating complex multi-service production applications at scale.
• Comfortable owning major cloud infrastructure decisions end to end.

Technical skills:

• Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js.
• Deep understanding of monorepo architectures such as Nx.
• Strong experience with AWS, specifically Amazon EKS, networking, IAM policies, and secrets management.
• Production-grade Kubernetes skills including deployments, custom ingress routing, health checks, and autoscaling.
• Familiarity with modern developer tools including IDE extensions, custom CLIs, and third-party integrations.

Ownership mindset:

• Active monitoring of staging and production environments to identify and close infrastructural gaps.
• Design systems anticipating failure modes including worker crashes, duplicate webhooks, cache restarts, and cloud outages.
• Focus on delivering reliable production systems rather than only documentation.

Mentoring and collaboration:

• Elevate engineering team via high technical standards and architectural guidance.
• Collaborate hands-on in shared office via pair programming and design discussions.
• Assist engineers in growing into independent problem solvers.

Business understanding:

• Recognize software serves core business objectives and ROI.
• Create durable operating leverage through technical choices and future-proof design.
• Connect system architecture decisions directly with company value.

• Build, optimize, and deploy orchestrator-style Platform APIs on Kubernetes, including agent initialization, suspension, state synchronization, and secure reads.
• Implement and scale asynchronous distributed job queues and background workers for long-running indexing, code building, and release management.
• Design, scale, and evolve the platform’s data layer addressing database boundaries, optimized access patterns, and consistency models.
• Connect internal microservices and external webhooks with reliable event handling, transactional callbacks, and distributed handoffs.
• Own and improve logging, distributed tracing, alerting frameworks, and incident response workflows in production.
• Manage local development environments, monorepo tooling, and internal productivity scripts for Developer Experience (DX).
• Plan and execute large-scale monorepo structural migrations without disrupting product delivery.
• Own the architecture and continuous execution of CI/CD deployment and integration pipelines end to end.
