Staff Software Engineer, Gemini Enterprise Mobile

The Gemini Enterprise Mobile team builds the mobile surface for Gemini Enterprise, Google Cloud's flagship platform focused on bringing generative AI to enterprise mobile users on iOS and Android. The team aims to transform mobile into the primary interface for enterprise knowledge workers to interact with AI agents and business data securely in dynamic, on-the-go environments.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in mobile application development on iOS or Android.
• 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience in software design and architecture.
• Experience in one or more of these programming languages: Java, Kotlin, Dart, Flutter, Objective-C, or Swift.
• Experience in technical leadership, including leading project teams and setting technical direction.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 3 years in complex, matrixed organizations involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
• Experience developing Android or iOS applications integrated with artificial intelligence or machine learning technologies.
• Experience developing conversational AI solutions, chatbots, or virtual assistants.
• Experience building backend systems or APIs supporting mobile apps or AI integrations.

• Set the long term technical goals and co-create the product roadmap for Gemini Enterprise on iOS and Android.
• Translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, polished mobile experiences with strong user empathy and product judgment.
• Build resilient app architectures integrating client state, device hardware such as voice and camera, and back-end AI infrastructure.
• Ensure consumer-grade UI responsiveness while maintaining enterprise standards for security, compliance, and identity.
• Partner across Product, UX, and AI/back-end teams to deliver innovations across Google and mentor executive engineers.
