Senior Software Security Engineer – Backend & Cloud Infrastructure

This role is offered by a client that is a leader in developing innovative security solutions within the technology industry, focusing on advancing engineering excellence across their Security platform and driving strategic cloud-based automation programs.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in software engineering with backend and cloud infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in Python (Django), Node.js (Typescript/NestJS), and ideally Go-Lang.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services: Cloud Run, GKE, Filestore, and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, and Zero Trust principles.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
• Full-stack understanding focused on backend development and architecture design.
• Proven production software delivery and contributions to open-source communities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with holistic technical perspective.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Rust or additional cloud platforms.
• Certifications related to cloud security or architecture.
• Proven experience automating deployment pipelines and infrastructure management.

• Hands-on development of production-grade software with a code-centric approach.
• Contribution to open-source projects and sharing knowledge via blogs or GitHub.
• Design, development, and optimization of services on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for resilience and cost-efficiency.
• Architect and manage OAuth2/OpenID Connect flows within GCP.
• Implement high-performance backend services using Python (Django), Node.js (Typescript/NestJS), and Go-Lang.
• Optimize PostgreSQL queries for high concurrency and build event-driven architectures with Pub/Sub.
• Lead automation and improvements in deployment, testing, and operational processes.
• Mentor colleagues and promote best practices and continuous technical improvement.
• Maintain comprehensive understanding of security principles including Zero Trust models.
