Snowflake Engineer

The project is divided into two phases: the first phase focuses on assessing the current client’s Azure cloud and Snowflake architecture, cybersecurity, data protection, data models, and processes with a current state report and recommendations; the second phase focuses on implementation and building up the Snowflake platform. The client is located in Qatar.

• Computer Science graduate or equivalent with 4-7 years of industry experience
• Working experience in an Agile-based delivery methodology (preferable)
• Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution
• Excellent communicator (written and verbal, formal and informal)
• Experience with Snowflake, ETL, Data Modeling, Azure, and Azure Security
• Experience with cybersecurity and data protection in cloud environments

• Design Snowflake architecture, security, data models, and data processing pipelines
• Select Snowflake components to satisfy platform requirements
• Work closely with business teams to understand demand and convert it into technical requirements
• Oversee delivery
• Participate in all aspects of Big Data solution delivery lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing, production deployment, and support
• Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, GIT, Agile, and Scrum
• Implement CI/CD processes
