Embedded Software Engineer

Ericsson is hiring for embedded software development with a focus on Baseband L1/L2 development in C/C++. The role involves working on real-time embedded systems and 5G RAN technology.

• Experience in embedded software development with Baseband L1/L2 development in C/C++
• At least 3-4 years of experience in real-time embedded systems development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• General programming skills, e.g., Python, are an advantage
• Knowledge of 5G and LTE (4G) standards (3GPP) is an advantage
• Clean code programming style and mindset
• Experience in defining product architecture or complex implementation proposals is appreciated
• MSc/BSc level in a technical subject or equivalent knowledge
• Good English language skills in writing and conversation
• Keen interest in the long-term evolution and success of the Baseband software product
• Enjoys working in a team within a global organization

• Develop new features for the 5G RAN, participating in all design phases from early studies and design to receiving feedback from customers and live networks
• Work with UPC software architecture changes to prepare for scheduler feature roadmap
• Improve the quality of the scheduling software
• Collaborate with architects to discuss architecture details and concerns
• Implement UPC domain care backlog items
• Drive technology leadership
