Senior Unix / Linux Infrastructure Engineer

The client is a Norwegian major provider of financial services with a global presence and over 200 Jit personnel working on more than 60 projects. • Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Unix environments
• Hands-on experience with RedHat Satellite and platform management tools
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud compute operations
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform and cloud cost optimization (FinOps)
• Ability to manage configuration consistency and ensure security and compliance
• Experience with monitoring tools for Linux/Unix and cloud infrastructure
• Strong troubleshooting skills in daily server operations and incident handling
• Knowledge of IT governance including procedures, patching, hardening, and compliance
• Analytical, proactive, and quality-driven mindset
• Strong team player with ownership attitude
• English language proficiency at B2 level

Nice to have:

• Experience with other Unix systems such as Solaris, AIX, IBMi
• Experience supporting virtual machines in VMware environments
• Experience in financial institutions or regulated environments

• Collaborate with Server Engineering teams on infrastructure initiatives including governance, security, architecture, and design
• Work closely with external support provider handling daily server operations
• Reduce number and duration of major incidents across server environments
• Optimize resources including servers, licenses, and operational workload
• Improve support processes for IT operations and development teams
• Participate in defining and driving the future of server infrastructure
