Senior Software Engineer (Python & Test Automation)

Group Technology is part of a bank's transformation journey focused on engineering modern, scalable, and secure backend solutions for the credit and rating domain. The role is within the Financial Statement team in the Rating and Limit Management Unit, which handles financial data for credit decisions and rating solutions, operating in a modern, self-governing setup ensuring auditability, data quality, and regulatory standards. The position is permanent, full-time, based in Gdańsk (Tricity) or Warsaw with a hybrid work model.

• Proficiency in Python for automation and reliable services
• Experience designing automation frameworks, especially Robot Framework
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and DevOps including automated build, test, and deployment with Git-based workflows
• Established background in SQL, Selenium, Power BI
• Hands-on experience writing Gherkin scenarios
• Implementing AI-driven solutions to optimize testing workflows
• Experience with test management tools such as qTest

• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python and Robot Framework
• Design and execute automated test scenarios, including preparation of test data and daily data handling automation
• Plan, execute and analyse tests, report defects and ensure end-to-end quality
• Run automated regression tests as part of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Perform API testing and continuously expand automated test coverage
• Optimize testing and delivery workflows using AI-driven tools
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data users and solution architects
• Support delivery of scalable, compliant and reliable solutions for the credit area of the bank

Position available for candidates working hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa, with 2-3 days per week from the office. Must have very good communication skills in English.
