Senior QA Engineer

The client is a leading Nordic bank, a major provider of financial services with a global presence, focusing on modern technology and Scandinavian organizational culture that emphasizes work-life balance and feedback culture. Over 200 Jit personnel are engaged in more than 60 projects for this Norwegian financial group.

• Senior-level testing background (8+ years), preferably with mortgage domain knowledge
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to quality and detail
• Manual testing skills covering functional, system, integration, and API testing
• Proven involvement in end-to-end testing across complex systems
• General testing knowledge to the level of ISTQB Foundation Level
• Practical knowledge of test management tools (qTest or similar such as Xray/HP ALM)
• Experience working in Agile teams and using Jira/Confluence
• Ability to define, execute, and report tests for complex software systems

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of automated API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, Cypress)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience testing microservices-based architectures
• Web and Mobile UI system testing

• Perform end-to-end testing of applications and related ecosystems within the mortgage domain
• Analyze requirements, design comprehensive test scenarios, create detailed test cases, and execute manual functional tests across full user workflows
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, collaborate with developers, and perform retesting and regression testing
• Review functional requirements for completeness and testability, participate in refinement sessions, and ensure acceptance criteria are clear and testable
• Verify integration points between system components, validate data flow, and test third-party integrations from a functional perspective
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and product owners; participate in Agile ceremonies; and communicate test progress and estimates
• Provide test status reports and quality metrics, assess release readiness, and support UAT activities
• Plan and execute regression testing for each release
