Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote

Our Client has been in the business of providing safety and insurance for the maritime industry for over 160 years and is now the leading provider of security certification and audits. They offer a wide range of digital projects to increase safety and compliance with standards in industrial fields. Their solutions are used globally in maritime, from raw materials extraction to other sectors where quality and compliance with norms and standards are needed. • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, especially AKS cluster administration
• Solid Azure Cloud expertise including AKS, Azure Container Apps, Azure Container Registry
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools Terraform and Terragrunt
• Proficiency with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
• Deep knowledge of containerization tools Docker and containerd
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Argo Workflows)
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager)
• Working knowledge of Ansible for configuration management
• Scripting skills in Bash and Python
• Platform Engineering experience and familiarity with Backstage is a plus
• Knowledge of Kubernetes Operators, CRDs, Admission Webhooks is a plus
• Experience with extended observability tools like Loki, Tempo, Fluent Bit, Thanos is a plus
• Practical knowledge of policy enforcement tools like Kyverno is a plus

• Build and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters including provisioning, RBAC, networking, and troubleshooting
• Develop Internal Developer Platform capabilities using Backstage for self-service
• Implement Platform Engineering practices to improve developer experience and accelerate delivery
• Ensure high availability, security, and performance of containerized workloads
• Manage GitOps continuous deployment using ArgoCD or Flux
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools
• Perform configuration management using Ansible playbooks and roles
• Automate tasks and scripting using Bash and Python
• Monitor using observability stack tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager

Nice to have:

• Advanced Kubernetes knowledge including Operators, CRDs, and Admission Webhooks
• Extended observability experience with Loki, Tempo, Fluent Bit, Thanos
• Policy enforcement experience with Kyverno or similar tools
