Technical Lead, Cluster Management System

Google Cloud develops next-generation technologies across various areas including distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence and more. The Cluster Management System team at Google works on impactful software to support various workload types, hardware, and security measures, aiming to improve efficiency, scalability, and security. The team is organized as several small independent teams that collaborate as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in software architecture.
• 2 years of experience working with and influencing a group of people.
• Coding experience in unmanaged languages such as Rust, C, C++.
• Experience with concurrency, multithreading, and synchronization.

• Understand guest (virtualized) and host (hypervisor) environments and design secure solutions to connect both.
• Collaborate with peers to identify, design, develop, and optimize software features running on Google's hardware stack.
• Lead design and build processes for infrastructure to automatically measure and detect regressions in key performance metrics at scale.
• Address complex security vulnerabilities.
• Develop code in C++.
