Senior Java Developer – Financial Technology Solutions

Our client is a leader in financial technology solutions, focusing on the banking and payments industry to develop secure and scalable financial systems.

• 4+ years of proven experience in Java development within financial or similarly complex domains.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Hibernate, DB2, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Connect.
• Knowledge of MongoDB and Spring Data MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Docker, Maven, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab CI).
• Solid understanding of event-driven/microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong work ethic.

Nice to have:

• Experience with IBM MQ / JMS and infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of financial messaging standards such as ISO 20022, SWIFT, CBPR+, FIN.
• Python scripting and experience in financial services, payments, or banking technology.

• Participate in requirements gathering sessions with business users to understand project needs.
• Lead analysis, solution design, and planning activities within the engineering team.
• Implement and rigorously test software changes; participate in code reviews and assist in UAT and releases.
• Innovate by improving existing stacks and developing new functionalities in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to the development of event-driven and microservices architectures within distributed systems.
• Collaborate effectively with international teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Engage actively in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimizations.
