Senior Mechanical Production Support Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing support, product development, or similar roles
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with root cause analysis, failure analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies
• Experience supporting Design of Experiments (DoE) and engineering investigations
• Ability to translate technical findings into practical design and manufacturing improvements
• Understanding of materials behavior, mechanical interfaces, and product reliability concepts
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within global cross-functional teams

Nice to have:

• Experience in automotive electronics or power electronics products
• Background in mechanical design, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, reliability, materials, or failure analysis
• Knowledge of thermal management, Thermal Interface Materials (TIM), and durability testing
• Familiarity with automotive quality processes, including APQP and PPAP

• Analyze and resolve mechanical and thermomechanical production issues across global manufacturing plants
• Act as the technical interface between Manufacturing and Product Engineering teams
• Perform root cause analysis and support implementation of effective corrective actions
• Investigate mechanical design, assembly, tolerance, structural, and reliability-related issues
• Support Design of Experiments (DoE), validation activities, and failure investigations
• Evaluate mechanical interfaces, tolerance stack-ups, material behavior, and manufacturing process impacts
• Collaborate with design, simulation, materials, reliability, and manufacturing engineering teams
• Assess supplier changes and their impact on product performance and reliability
• Document technical findings and communicate recommendations to global stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned into engineering standards and processes
