Mid-Level Production Support Engineer – Global Payments Systems

Our client is a leader in financial technology solutions focusing on global payment execution, messaging, orchestration, and sanctions & investigation services within the Payments IT department.

• At least 3 years of experience in system support or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Minimum 3 years experience working with Linux.
• At least 2 years experience with Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture.
• Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Python, Java) for automation.
• Knowledge of system monitoring, performance tuning, and high-frequency change management.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Demonstrable communication skills in a global organization.

Nice to have:

• Experience in Payments industry.
• Knowledge of Python and Java programming.
• Familiarity with Puppet/Ansible or similar configuration management tools.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics and Splunk.

• Provide day-to-day production support, incident resolution, and problem management.
• Identify root causes of major system issues through technical troubleshooting.
• Install and validate new software releases from vendors.
• Develop and implement local solutions using scripting languages such as Shell, Bash, Python, and Java.
• Support testing activities for new implementations and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to review and improve existing processes.
• Design and implement service offerings, capability enhancements, and process improvements.
• Use tools for architecture analysis and performance monitoring.
• Perform data analysis and reconciliations to uncover anomalies and support root cause analysis.
• Contribute to team objectives, potentially leading specific initiatives.
