Sr Software QA Engineer

IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. The role is within the Systems Engineering team, part of the Global Infrastructure & Operations (GIO), which focuses on processing and analysing patient-level healthcare data to support complex healthcare challenges.

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software testing.
• Experience with test automation tools, preferably Robot Framework.
• Programming skills in Python (intermediate) and SQL (advanced), familiarity with Java/Scala is beneficial.
• Experience with database technologies including Oracle, Databricks, Hive, and Impala.
• Knowledge of version control using Git, GitHub, or GitLab workflows.
• CI/CD tools experience with Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience with distributed data processing through Spark and Databricks ecosystem.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts such as dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions (SCD), and star schemas.
• Experience in test planning, strategy development, and defect management (e.g., JIRA).
• Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and basic container orchestration.
• Ability to present complex results clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with European teams and understanding cross-cultural communication.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project management concepts.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.

• Oversee and guide junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical direction and mentoring.
• Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring clarity and alignment with delivery goals.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Robot Framework for ETL pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Extend Robot Framework libraries and create custom test utilities for healthcare-specific data validation.
• Integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Conduct integration testing for data workflows involving Spark, BPMN orchestration using Camunda, and JDBC imports.
• Validate complex business rules for data quality.
• Collaborate with architects and systems engineers to contribute to technical standards.
