Functional Safety Engineer

The client is a global technology leader delivering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions for the automotive market. The organization focuses on the development of advanced eMobility solutions, including high-voltage power electronics controllers for next-generation electrified vehicles, with a technical center in Poland.

• Master's or Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or similar
• Experience in Automotive Electronics Control Units preferred
• Experience with Automotive High-Voltage Power Electronics is a benefit
• Knowledge of ISO26262 product development process
• Knowledge of requirements elicitation, analysis, management, and tools such as Polarion
• Experience with development processes models like A-SPICE
• Experience in safety analysis methods (SFMEA, FTA, FMEDA, SW Freedom from Interference)
• Good foundation knowledge of both hardware and software
• Fluency in English required; German and/or French is an advantage
• Organized, structured work style and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel occasionally, domestic and international

• Interface with customers to evaluate safety goals and functional safety requirements
• Specify power electronics inverter controller safety concept
• Perform risk safety analyses
• Generate detailed technical safety requirements
• Develop power electronics controllers technical safety concept (system architecture)
• Align and monitor integration of the technical safety concept with customer
• Support and track generation of product functional test plans and testing on test bench and vehicle
• Support customer test and validation programs

• Project start: immediately, preference for candidates with short notice period
• Project duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
• Location: Kraków, Poland

• Work model: Hybrid (3 days office in Kraków, 2 days remote) or optionally 100% remote
• Occasional domestic and international business travel expected
