Projekt B2B: Project Manager AI/ML (Pharma)

This role supports transformation of R&D processes by incorporating AI and automation within a pharmaceutical Research & Development environment. The project involves leading AI/ML and Large Language Model (LLM) initiatives to improve clinical development efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

• Minimum 3-4 years of Project or Program Management experience in R&D
• Minimum 3-4 years in pharma industry or CRO, preferably within R&D
• Familiarity with clinical development processes
• Understanding of clinical trial performance drivers including protocol complexity and enrollment
• Experience supporting AI, digital, or technology-enabled transformation initiatives
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, including data pipelines, model lifecycle, and generative AI
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills bridging business and technical teams
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with distributed cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage internal engineering teams and external vendors
• Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and responsible AI considerations
• Preferred experience delivering AI/ML and LLM-based solutions in production
• Ability to work European business hours with 4-6 hour US East Coast coverage
• English language proficiency at minimum C1 level

• Define project scope, objectives, success metrics, and roadmap aligned to business goals including MVP and POC execution
• Lead Agile/Scrum delivery, including feasibility analysis, requirement gathering, sprint planning, backlog management, and release coordination
• Manage cross-functional internal teams and external vendors
• Own end-to-end project health including scope, timeline, budget, risks, and quality
• Partner with Regulatory, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Medical, Statistics, Data Sciences, and Digital teams
• Define and track success metrics for clinical trial efficiency initiatives such as start-up timelines, enrollment performance, and protocol deviation trends
• Translate business requirements into technical execution plans with clear milestones
• Oversee delivery of AI/ML, analytics, and workflow/process redesign solutions from use case to scaled implementation
• Monitor and mitigate risks related to data, model performance, integration, and timelines
• Ensure alignment with regulatory, risk, and change control
• Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership
• Serve as a change agent driving adoption of new working methods
