Software Engineering Manager, Google Compute Engine

Google Cloud provides enterprise-grade cloud solutions used by customers in more than 200 countries and territories to support digital transformation and growth, leveraging cutting-edge technology and developer tools.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in Kernel development and architecting and developing distributed systems design.
• Preferred 5 years of experience managing internal infrastructure, developer tools, or distributed computing infrastructure.
• Experience working on customer-facing products/APIs.
• Proven skills managing teams working on highly distributed and reliable systems.

• Manage a team focused around a defined product area within Google Compute Engine.
• Build, grow, and retain top talent, inspiring and challenging the engineering organization.
• Work with team members on their career development and general performance.
• Set direction and priorities for the product area in cooperation with the team.
• Build cross-functional partnerships and collaborate with developers and product managers to identify and improve productivity, production quality, and coverage issues through scale and tooling.
