Staff Software Engineer, Pixel Graphics

Google's Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering advanced smartphone experiences combining artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to create transformative products globally.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• Experience with C, GPU drivers, embedded programming, and mobile GPUs.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Preferred: 3 years in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• Preferred: Experience in Kernel Drivers.
• Preferred: Experience in C++ or Android development.

• Provide technical leadership on projects and advise Android and Pixel leadership on performance and feature opportunities in graphics software.
• Influence, coach, and manage a distributed team of engineers.
• Facilitate alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
• Work with product and engineering teams to define GPU roles and requirements in future product designs.
• Develop GPU graphics and compute technologies spanning the full GPU software stack.
• Evaluate and bring-up devices working with product and engineering teams.
