Senior Java Backend Developer

• At least 10 years of Java backend development in large scale enterprise environments.
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of messaging and event driven integration, preferably IBM MQ and Kafka.
• Experience with containerized environments and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of REST services, microservices and integration patterns.
• Experience with Maven, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automated testing with JUnit and Testcontainers.
• Ability to analyse requirements, system flow, logs, data flow and production issues.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have:

• Banking or trading experience.
• Cloud ready application design and experience modernising integration in regulated domains.
• Containerisation around vendor platforms or legacy systems.
• Test automation, static code analysis and AI assisted development tools.

• Develop and modernise Java based microservices and integration components connecting IMSecurities with Nordea systems.
• Support business flow and volume migration, new business logic, and rearchitecture in a financial platform.
• Design, develop, test, deploy and support microservices and integrations.
• Analyse requirements, business and system flows, logs and data flows, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Plan deployments and releases, collaborate with developers, analysts, QA and infrastructure teams.
• Work in Agile Scrum with Jira, share knowledge and promote good development practices.
