C++ Software Engineer (Mid/Regular)

Ericsson is engaged in telecommunication systems development with projects involving 3G, 4G, 5G, and 6G technologies. The role is based in Kraków, Poland, within small teams working in an international environment.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science (e.g., Computer Science, Telecommunication) or equivalent formal technical education
• At least 3 years of experience in C++ programming (C++17 standard or higher preferred)
• Experience in creating software architectures, redesign, and refactoring
• Competent in design patterns
• Testing skills
• Analytical thinking skills and ability to learn quickly
• Good communication and team working skills
• Good communication in English

Nice to have:

• Experience with debugging tools: GDB, sanitizers, valgrind
• Knowledge of low level communication protocols (e.g., Modbus)
• Basic Java knowledge
• Basic Python knowledge

• Develop software in C++ for telecommunication systems
• Perform unit testing in Google Test framework
• Integrate testing in Java and Erlang
• Test manually on real hardware
• Perform troubleshooting
• Work in Agile framework (Scrum or Kanban)
• Create technical documentation for introduced software
• Drive team's activities with product responsibility
• Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling
• Contribute to new features from the study phase
• Develop competence in technical domain
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, testing, troubleshooting, improvement, and knowledge sharing

Role based in Kraków, Poland, hybrid with minimum 3 days in office required.
