Technical Operations Compliance Manager, Third Party Data Centers

The role is within Google's Data Center team that designs and operates advanced electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and HVAC systems globally. The team operates and supports physical data center facilities covering power supply, cooling, electrical distribution, and control systems. The position specifically focuses on technical operations within Third-Party Data Center Operations across EMEA, ensuring digital operational resilience, safety, and regulatory compliance across third-party data center partnerships.

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field.
• 9 years of experience in technical compliance, facility management, or operations for data centers and mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with critical data center infrastructure including power distribution, cooling systems, and safety protocols.
• Experience leading internal and external compliance audits for technical facilities.
• Ability to travel up to 50% across the EMEA region for site visits and audits.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience validating and executing Integrated Operational Readiness Drills (iORD) and emergency response simulations.
• Experience reviewing and verifying technical maintenance logs and documentation from third-party providers to ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence.
• Familiarity with European regulations and international operational standards relevant to data center compliance.
• Ability to develop comprehensive audit plans and use analytical dashboards to communicate risk tiers to executive management.
• Proven ability to drive operational resilience, identify infrastructure failover deficiencies, and maintain peak performance across third-party facilities.

• Act as the primary Third-Party Data Center Operations representative for Corrective Action Plan (CAP) audits.
• Coordinate with local managers to demonstrate site operational resilience.
• Develop audit plans and verify service provider maintenance logs to ensure critical infrastructure servicing.
• Partner with CAP team to address deficiencies using risk-based prioritization and setting remediation deadlines.
• Track outcomes of Integrated Operational Readiness Drills (iORD) and emergency simulations to document improvements.
• Deliver reports and use analytic dashboards to communicate audit trends, site performance, and EMEA compliance posture to leadership.
