Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, GenAI, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is leveraging frontier AI products including Gemini models and the Vertex AI platform to provide enterprise-grade AI solutions. This role is embedded with customer accounts to build and deploy customized AI systems and to provide critical feedback for product development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience building and shipping production-grade AI-driven solutions using Python, Typescript, or comparable languages.
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions with business and engineering teams to define AI and hardware requirements.
• Experience designing and building AI systems on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience building data pipelines for structured and unstructured data, incorporating vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)-like architectures.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in AI, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Experience implementing multi-agent systems using frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, or Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK), and patterns like ReAct and hierarchical delegation.
• Knowledge of large language model native metrics and techniques for optimizing state management and tracing.

• Serve as the lead developer for AI applications, transitioning rapid prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows such as multi-agent systems and model context protocol servers.
• Architect and implement integration between Google's AI products and customer infrastructure, including APIs, legacy data silos, and security perimeters.
• Build evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks ensuring accuracy, safety, and latency of agentic systems.
• Identify recurring field patterns and technical issues in Google’s AI stack, converting them into reusable modules or feature requests.
• Mentor engineering talent, collaborate with customer teams, and influence cross-functional strategies to enhance organizational technical capabilities.
