Senior Platform Engineer

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar discipline
• 7+ years experience in Cloud (AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows and Linux Administration, Certificate Management, PowerShell and Bash/Python scripting, Configuration Management and IaC (Ansible/Terraform), DNS, Networking
• Enterprise-level experience with Kubernetes
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Commitment to continuous improvement focusing on observability, modern application architecture, blue-green/canary deployments, and CI/CD pipeline management
• Self-motivated and able to stay current with emerging technologies while meeting business deadlines
• Experience with tools such as Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, and New Relic

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with database concepts
• Experience with at least one cloud provider (preferably AWS)
• Experience with Apache Kafka and ELK configuration and troubleshooting
• Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go, etc.

• Initiate and advocate adoption of best patterns, structures, and technologies for development and operations
• Investigate automation opportunities and identify beneficial practices
• Monitor and improve CI/CD process for increased speed, safety, and reliability
• Develop and maintain GitLab CI pipeline libraries
• Assist developers in setting up CI/CD and provide ongoing support
• Keep updated with industry tools and trends
• Provide senior-level recommendations and implementations for Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes hosting environments
• Mentor junior team members and recommend learning opportunities
• Educate team members and Application Development Teams about platform tools and concepts such as GitLab, Docker, AWS, Terraform, Istio Service Mesh, Kubernetes, Kafka, and ELK
• Collaborate with Security team to remediate high-risk vulnerabilities
• Offer related services and projects to other companies in the group as directed
