QA Automation Engineer (Python)

The customer is a UK-based financial services provider specializing in digital banking solutions. Operating on a fully cloud-based platform, the company offers products like savings accounts, loans, and mortgages. The project focuses on developing and enhancing digital banking solutions for a UK-based bank, improving user experience and streamlining financial services.

• 3+ years of experience as AQA using Python.
• Experience in Banking/FinTech domain.
• Degree or advanced degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with systems testing, including API testing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of software testing processes, methodologies, and good practices.
• Understanding of testing methodologies within an agile delivery framework.
• Experience with Python and Behave.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Experience with Playwright.
• Experience with automated test tools.
• Ability to coordinate resources across the business to address issues.
• English language skills at Intermediate+ level and above.

Nice to have:

• ISTQB test certification.
• Experience in Retail Banking.
• Degree or advanced degree or equivalent education and experience.

• Leading other testers in specific testing activities.
• Creating and maintaining the automation for Mortgages E2E.
• Documenting test results for traceability.
• Executing tests and keeping the status up to date.
• Documenting defects to aid reporting.
• Configuring test environments to execute tests.
• Escalating risks and blockers to the test manager.
• Ensuring tests are included in Standard and Closure reports.
• Implementing and executing tests in the automation framework using Python and Behave.
• Attending daily standups and other squad meetings.
