Azure Data Platform Engineer [M/F]

Stackmine is recruiting for a role involving the modernization and migration of an existing data platform to a modern, scalable cloud-native architecture based on Microsoft Azure.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric.
• Good knowledge of modern data platform architecture and Data Engineering ecosystem.
• Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code approach.
• Experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, including administration and maintenance.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Knowledge of best practices in DevOps and Platform Engineering.
• Experience implementing access control, auditing, and identity management mechanisms.
• Understanding of security, governance, and reliability aspects of data platforms.

• Participate in discovery workshops and analysis of the existing data platform.
• Co-create target architecture and migration strategy to Azure.
• Design and develop scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Support migration of workloads, pipelines, and data services to Azure, Databricks, and/or Microsoft Fabric.
• Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes-based environments.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
• Implement security mechanisms, identity and access management, and governance.
• Configure monitoring, observability, and alerting.
• Ensure high reliability, scalability, performance, and cost optimization of the platform.
• Produce technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and other technical and business teams.
