• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring Framework including Spring Boot
• Experience designing and developing microservice-based systems
• Knowledge of microservice observability and resilience
• Experience with system integration using REST, JSON, SOAP, Web Services, XML, and XSD
• Experience working with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries, and model data structures
• Understanding of database transactions and locking
• Proven experience with legacy code and system modernization or rewriting
• Knowledge of refactoring, strangler pattern, phased migrations, and regression testing
• Familiarity with design patterns including architectural, migrational, and modernization patterns
• Experience in domain decomposition and API contract design
• Experience integrating payment solutions with external systems
• Practical experience using LLM and AI agents for code, test, documentation, and migration
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for correctness, security, quality, and compliance
