Mobile Technical Lead, RCS For Business

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that impact how billions connect and interact globally across products including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, AI, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile. The Platforms and Devices team focuses on computing platforms across environments and first party devices integrating Google AI, software, and hardware, aiming to create innovative user experiences worldwide.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with large scale application design and architecture.
• Experience with Android application development.
• Experience programming in Kotlin.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

• Lead Rich Communication Services (RCS) For Business development in the Google Messages application.
• Identify, deliver and land critical user journeys end-to-end.
• Measure and monitor the impact of various features across the business communication ecosystem.
• Fix critical bugs/issues raised by external developers to improve user experience.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX, DevRel, Support, and Engineering leads to deliver product/system metrics.
